Sisterly LOVE

We are ALL finally settling in as a family of 4! Karly ADORES her new baby sister...I just have to be very careful about watching her with Kynly. When Kynly cries, Karly comes running; when Kynly is in her bouncer, Karly is always right there to talk to her. These are her new favorite sayings, "Hi Sissy!", "Hi Hunny!", "No fussin". It's too cute! I love to see the sisterly bond that they already have! We are complete with our "salt-n-pepper" girls as my doctor would refer to them!

Miss Kynly Lynn

Proud Daddy of 2 BEAUTIFUL girls!

Big sister Karly w/ new baby sister Kynly

Our family of 3 turned into a family of 4 on Thursday, September 16th at approximately 8:19 am. Stephen, Karly and I welcomed Kynly Lynn into the world and she is the sweetest baby ever! She weighed 8lbs. 15oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She now holds the weight record for the grandbabies as well as the hair record. She has the thickest, darkest hair that is so beautiful!Kynly and I are doing WONDERFUL! What a blessing she has been to our lives already. Big sister Karly is taking her time adjusting to the "new life" and giving us quite the run for our money at times. She absolutely ADORES her new little sister, but thinks she must test the boundaries to find out what is really going on. Thank goodness my Mom is here staying the week with us to help keep her busy. So far, Kynly is nursing awesome, sleeping great, and has had a wonderful check-ups at the doctors. They said that they usually want to see newborns back in 2 weeks, but because she is doing and looks so well, they don't need to see her until her 2 month wellness visit!! God is Great and we are loving our healthy babies!! More pictures to come...I will do my best to stay on top of things. No promises though, being a Mommy of 2 is sure to keep me busy!!
Much Love! XOXO

48 hours

This is how I hope Karly feels when she meets her little sister!!
Who would have thought that in less than 48 hours, our family of 3 would be turning into a family of 4! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by...as far as being physically prepared, I think we are! As far as being mentally prepared, that's what I continue to struggle with. Don't get me wrong, I am SUPER excited, but it's hard to imagine loving another child as much as we do Karly!! All of you Mother's of 2 or more probably remember feeling the same way and I keep reminding myself that it all works out. Our bags are packed and tonight will be the last night that our family of 3 sleeps together in our house. Karly is going to stay with my mom on Wednesday night so we don't have to get her up at 4:30am, drop her off at my mom's, and then head to the hospital by 6am. This way she can get a full nights sleep and be at the hospital in good spirits to meet her new baby sister Thursday morning!!
Wish us luck as we start our new adventure! : )

Pregnancy Pics.

I thought I would share some prego pics for those of you that I haven't seen in a while. I really thought I was getting bigger this time than with Karly but when you compare the two pregnancies by pics, I don't think there quite as big as a difference as I thought there was.
So this is me with only 3 weeks to go~ can't wait to meet my new little lady!! ; )
My girls are good to me!!

Karly's BIG girl room

So as we started to prepare for Miss Kynly, we had to invest in some new furniture for Karly. I wasn't quite sure how she was going to adapt to her big girl bed so over the summer we left her crib in her room to sleep in at night and her and I would take our naps in her big girl bed with hopes that she would eventually just want to sleep in it. And she did!! After napping in her big girl bed for about a month, I went to put her in her crib one evening and she pointed to her BIG girl bed! I was super excited that the transition worked so smoothly!! She only fell out of bed twice (it's a platform bed so she didn't get hurt) before we decided to officially move the baby furniture out of her room and into what would be Kynly's and set up ALL her new stuff!! By far she has the coolest room!! And with a little help from Aunt Sarah for the curtain and organizing, I LOVE Karly's new BIG girl room and I think she's pretty fond of it too!! So the girls will each have their own look! I trying to pick her room up before taking pictures, but those of you that have a almost 2 year old will understand.
Karly was literally getting her toys out faster than I could click!

Ready or not, here she comes

Karly and I had a SUPER summer together!! I can't believe I'm already back to work and summer is over. I totally blog slacked and didn't post much of anything and now I am going to be paying for it! Getting back into the swing of being a working Mommy and wife has been quite difficult this year. Not sure if it's because I don't want to be working or the fact that I am 8 months pregnant!! (I'm tending to lean more towards the 2nd excuse!) So with that said Stephen, Karly and I are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new addition, Miss Kynly Lynn!! This pregancy has been quite different than Karly's in many ways! She is the "right way" not breach so that has brought on all new adventures!! All in all, it's almost ALL over with and I think I can make it another 3 weeks and 2 days, but who's counting, right?! Kynly is due to arrive on the morning of Thursday, September 16th if I can keep her in for that long!! So ready or not, here she comes! Here are a few pics of her nursery. It's VERY different than Karly's but I am loving it more everyday!

Thanks to Uncle Mike for the BEAUTIFUL Monkey and Giraffee pics!!

LOVE them!

The 4th at the lake!

Karly, Daddy, Grandma, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Grandma, Uncle Grandpa, cousin Nicole, Gary, cousin Alec, and I spent a LOVELY 4 day weekend at the lake of the Ozarks. I have to tell you that I was quite nervous on how she was going to doing, sleeping wise and all, at a new place...not at home. She is quite the routine kinda girl so I thought we were going to be in for it for sure. Little did I know that Karly was going to do AWESOME and act as if she had been there a thousand times. I guess when you are surrounded by ALL of your favorite people that you love, it doesn't matter where you are. She got to go skinny dippin, go on her first tubing ride, ride in the boat (her favorite), watch the fireworks or "stars" from the middle of the lake, eat homemade ice cream, and play, play, play. And boy did she sleep good!! We can't wait till our next trip to the lake! Thanks Aunt Grandma and Uncle Grandpa for a WONDERFUL 4th!
She wasn't too fond of tubing until we picked up a little speed! Then she had fun!
Karly's first boat ride in her NEW princess life jacket!
Watching the "stars" with Aunt Grandma! XOXO
