Tradition

Nana (Stephen's Mom) has a tradition with her grand babies and that is to take bath tub pics. And boy do they turn out OH so cute!!

Last night, we met for our Monday supper, and Kynly had her turn. Well...and Karly!!

...And a SURPRISE visitor!!

Not sure who had more fun! Life would be so boring without Daddy! ; )

Happy 1st Birthday Kynly Lynn!

My babies are now BOTH growing up TOO fast!! Kynly was officially "1" on Friday so we as a family and Grandma, took her out to dinner to celebrate. We decided to take her to the same place we took Karly for her 1st bday, Texas Roadhouse, for some good food, dancing, and a picture on the horsey saddle. Kynly LOVED to watch them dance and clap! Karly just LOVES eating their "biscuits" (rolls)!
Needless to say, I have two of the CUTEST cowgirls in town! : )


Then on Saturday, we PARTIED it up with more family and friends at our house!! It was a GREAT time! Kynly's bday theme was zebra print and pink to express the DIVA in her! And believe me, it fits so well! ; ) This year Mommy was just a little too busy to make the cupcakes and cake herself, but I did find the idea! And thanks to a good friend, Melissa, I got her cupcake toppers for FREE! They were all too perfect!

So with the zebra cake topper she went to town! Which I believe is what gave her the energy to last until 10 PM (only about 2 1/2 hours past her regular bed time)! Unlike her big sissa that wouldn't touch her cake with her fingers, Kynly dove right in!

She was quite LESS messy than I thought she would be though!

But then thought maybe a fork would be best!

While the party was going on INside, we had a BOUNCE house party going on OUTside!

Not so much the ideal weather, rainy morning and in the high 60's, but thank goodness for the couple hours of sunshine so people of ALL ages (thought you'd love this one, Hollie) could get their "bounce on"!

Overall, it turned out to be the PERFECT day, for the PERFECT 1 year old, Kynly Lynn!!! Happy Birthday to a very special little lady! You are SO loved by all!XOXO Thanks to ALL the special family and friends that helped us celebrate her day! XOXO

You know its been too long...

When you don't even remember your password to update your blog! : ( And to look back and think I used to be soo good at this! Well this back-to-work Momma of 2 now has little to NO time at all to update my poor blog. So in another attempt to get it all done at once...Karly is doing well! Little Miss Smarty pants that's for sure. She now counts to 22, can identify almost 10 letters of the alphabet, and only talks like she's 30 or older. And for Miss Kynly...she is doing EVERYTHING!! She has been walking for about a month now, or shall we say running, she doesn't talk as much as her sister yet, but I'm sure that's soon to come! They LOVE playing and interacting with each other!! I think the best is when they're running around the house, chasing each other and they come around a corner at the same time. It's hysterical to hear them laugh!! Oh the joys of having a sister! Stephen's Mom took some updated photos for us and the girls last weekend, so those are the ones I'm going to share! Kynly's birthday is only in a few weeks, where in the heck does time goes, so there will def be more to come!! Hope all is well with your family!!

Summer Time!

You'll have to forgive me for slacking on my blog again...but boy have we (the girls and I) been having a GREAT summer!! We've been trying to stay as busy as possible with going to the park, having play dates, going to Paradise Park, Max and Ruby at the Midland Theatre, the library, Deanna Rose Farmland, and playing outside. With Daddy working LONG hours, the girls and I are getting LOTS of QT and I have to admit (although at times, I might seem a little crazy) I am LOVING it!! Kynly is trying to walk and getting into everything!! She is starting babble all the time and making out some true words!! Karly started dance class and is loving it!! She also got her first "real" haircut. I know, she was due but I hated to cut it at all. Along the way, I haven't been the best about taking pictures, but here's what I've got thus far...

So we've started a NEW tradition on Mother's Day and this was the 2nd year of celebrating Mother's Day at our Aunt Pat's/Aunt Grandma's with LOTS of family!!

We all love getting to hang out and visit with cousins, second cousins, brothers, sisters, nieces, etc... My Aunt Pat and Uncle Tom do a wonderful job hosting this celebration. Last year, the weather was not so cooperating, but this year it was BEAUTIFUL!! Karly loved running around, going on golf cart rides, and playing with everyone. Kynly spends everyday at their house, so she was very comfortable with her surroundings.

All together, my Mother's Day was PERFECT!!

Couldn't be a more proud Momma!!

Daddy got his...

TRUCK back!!

Yea!! Not sure who is more excited, Daddy or Karly, to have his truck back...Stephen made the decision last Friday to go back to Pyramid. With all the storms in the area lately, Pyramid has been swampped!! We are all supporting him and believe in him!!

We know our Daddy can do it!!

Much Needed Update

Yes, we are ALL still hanging in there and busy as ever!! Things aren't slowing down at our house much these days and now that the weather is FINALLY starting to get nice, I would assume that we will become even busier!! But busy is a good thing because it's making the time till summer will be here goes faster!!

Only 28 more days of school till then, not that I'm counting, ha!

The hair just won't stop growing!! It's still dark and oh so curly!!

So Kynly turned 7 months on Saturday...she now has two teeth, can say Momma and Dada (when she feels like it), loves to sit up and play, is starting to "want" to crawl, but isn't quite there yet, and is sleeping in 5 hour runs at night. So on a good night I only have to get up once...those are few and far between it seems!

Karly's quite the SASSY girl!

She is our little Miss grown smarty pants. And so much for Stephen and I to be able to have any type of discussion when she's around. All you hear is "Excuse me, excuse me...I have an idea" And to think we're going to have 2 of those running around soon, ugghhh!! : )

Their unconditional LOVE for one another continues to AMAZE me on a daily basis!! Makes me want a sister that's for sure!! That's really all for now. More pics to come soon!! I got new Spring dresses and am going to try and get them in for a professional photo shoot soon!!
