Our Dja Dja!Many of you know that my Dad underwent a 9 month battle with throat cancer almost 6 months ago. He is now offically in remission and cancer FREE!! Since he was unable to make it to KC for the birth of Kynly, we decided while I was on maternity leave we would make a family trip to see him! We took Karly at 6 weeks and then again at about 9 months, but time was WAY over due and we needed to see Dja Dja and Nonnie! So off to Florida we headed!! Karly was SUPER excited to "fly like a bird" on an airplane and I have to admit she was quite the pro! She got a little wreckless and tired toward the end of our flight there and did even better on the flight home. Kynly was awesome too and slept the whole way there and back. Our 4 day, 3 night visit was filled with trips to the beach building sand castles and splashing in the waves at the ocean, shopping at the mall and Ron Jons, and LOTS of playing at the house. She acted as if she got to see Dja Dja and Nonnie all the time and was very comfortable in their presence! It was a fun filled trip for all! When the plane landed in KC, Karly said, "I want more airplane Mommy!" We can't wait to do it ALL over again in the near future! Thank you Nonnie and Dja Dja for everything! XOXO
