The 4th at the lake!

Karly, Daddy, Grandma, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Grandma, Uncle Grandpa, cousin Nicole, Gary, cousin Alec, and I spent a LOVELY 4 day weekend at the lake of the Ozarks. I have to tell you that I was quite nervous on how she was going to doing, sleeping wise and all, at a new place...not at home. She is quite the routine kinda girl so I thought we were going to be in for it for sure. Little did I know that Karly was going to do AWESOME and act as if she had been there a thousand times. I guess when you are surrounded by ALL of your favorite people that you love, it doesn't matter where you are. She got to go skinny dippin, go on her first tubing ride, ride in the boat (her favorite), watch the fireworks or "stars" from the middle of the lake, eat homemade ice cream, and play, play, play. And boy did she sleep good!! We can't wait till our next trip to the lake! Thanks Aunt Grandma and Uncle Grandpa for a WONDERFUL 4th!
She wasn't too fond of tubing until we picked up a little speed! Then she had fun!

Family pics

After Stephen's Mom, Nana, took such great pictures of Miss Karly in the bath tub I realized that we, as a family, had not had our pictures taken since shortly after Karly was born. Before we add our SECOND addition, I thought we should get a few more shots in. Nana and Poppa Bob came to our house this morning to shoot some photos. I was hoping that I didn't ruin them all...I haven't been taking the best pictures as I get older! Here are a few of my favs!
Thanks again Nana! We love you! XOXO

Good ol' fashion bath tub fun!

(Momma's Favorite!)

Today we met up with Nana, Poppa Bob, and Sophie for some good ol' fashion bath tub pics at Nana's house. Little did Karly know she was going for more than just to see Sophie...I thought we were off to a not so good start when I asked her if she wanted to play in the water and her response was "Nope!" (the newest reply when asked a question). Needless to say the pictures turned out AMAZING and I LOVE them ALL! She was quite the "little poser" with the help of Momma, Poppa Bob, and Sophie of course. Thanks to Nana for taking such GREAT photos of our little one. They are so good that when I went to print them at Wal-Mart, the lady just about didn't let me have them because of the "copyright laws". Little does she know, we are blessed to have such a talented Nana to take our "professional" pictures for us!
Family pics soon to come! : )

The "froggy pose" just for Nana! ; )

Daddy's favorite - doesn't she look so innocent, NOT!

Super Cutie!

ABC's

Where does the summer go!! First off I can't believe I've already been off for almost 3 weeks. Karly and I have been trying to stay busy. The first week was a blast! We walked to our neighborhood pool everyday and spent some time splish-splashing in the water! She loves it for about 30 minutes and then is ready to go home to do sidewalk chalk or swing. The second week, when the rain set in, we hit the mall, rode the carousel, and visited Nana, Poppa Bob, and one of her new favorites, Sophie, their boxer-rotti mix dog. And since the rain still hasn't left going into mid-week of #3, we are getting quite creative to find things indoors and around the house to stay busy. Thanks to the movie Shrek 2, which is quite the hit these days too! She loves the kitty cat best of course. We have also been working on colors, counting, and the ABC's. Call me crazy, but my one and a half year old can now say most of her colors, count to 10, and sing her ABC's. I know...it sounds like I'm a bragging Mom, but I promise she does! When it was nap time today, I final got a good video of her singing from my phone (so it's not even the best)! I can't believe she can do all the things she does at her age!

What can I say, she's a smarty pants! ; )

Welcome Mr. Ryder!

Our family, the Beerbaur side, welcomed the 6th grandbaby into the world on Friday, May 21st, Mr Ryder Mathis. The 1st boy addition to the clan! He weighed 8lbs. 9oz. and was 20 inches long. He now holds the weight record out of all the grandbabies. Congratulations to Aunt Sarah, Uncle Toby, and Paisley!! He is too sweet for words!

Piggy Tails!

I hate to think that I've been slacking on doing Karly's hair up until this point... I just truly didn't know how much I could do with it! Although it is growing, I just didn't think anything but a part on the side and a bow to keep it out of her face would work. So the other night while she was busy into watching her fav tv shows on Nick Jr, I decided to explore. She's not too crazy about me playing with it now, but she just better get used to it because it was too much fun! And I am bound and determined to make her not so tender headed in the process. Good luck with that huh! Here's Karly's first true set of piggy tails!
Gotta love them! ; )

The back view! Too cute don't ya think! ; )

Happy Mother's Day!!

To all my BEAUTIFUL Mother family and friends, hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!! I had a LOVELY Mother's Day with a ton of family members. Even though the weather was a little cloudy and chilly, we had a huge family BBQ at Karly's Aunt Grandma's house. There we got to hang out with all of our cousins, second cousins, Grandma's, Uncle Grandpa, Aunt Tati, Uncles, and baby cousin Gabi! Karly's day was filled with fun rides in the golf cart, running as fast as she could in the grass, watching Daddy play washers, golf, and basketball, seeing all the farm animals, the coolest bubble gun, stealing everyone's cell phone to watch Go Diego Go, dancing, singing, and hamming it all for ALL to see! I didn't take as many pics as I probably should have, but that's because I was having too much fun visiting myself.
Thanks for a GREAT Mother's Day!

Look at this AWESOME bubble gun!! She LOVED it!! Thanks Uncle Jeff!
